Rebecca Barnett was born and raised in Coral Springs, Fla. She fell in love with the camera in high school when she took her first class in black and white photography. Her love of people, animals and pictures grew exponentially over the next few years as she learned more and more about the art, and continues to grow. Rebecca has interned at the Sun-Sentinel in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., The Patriot-News in Harrisburg, Pa. And The Roanoke Times in Roanoke, Va. She graduated with a degree in photojournalism from Western Kentucky University in May 2011. Now, she is living in Roanoke, Va. and is working as a staff photographer for The Roanoke Times.
